He draws on a pictorial tradition dating back to the early part of nineteenth century  - the art of Mondrian, in which the search for simplicity and rigor was predominant, with the investigstion of the permanent values through changing forms and, as a result, simplificaton in order to highlight them, stripping them of everything that isn't necessary for expression.
